Genesis 40

Genesis 40

This chapter has all the hallmarks of God setting people up to make a point.

The Pharaoh’s cupbearer and baker offended him and were put in prison, and Joseph was assigned to look after them. They each had dreams, and Joseph, knowing that dream interpretation is of God gave each of them his thoughts on the dreams.

He told them that in 3 days the Pharaoh would restore the cupbearer to his position and the baker would have his head cut off and the birds would eat his flesh.  He told the cupbearer to remember him to help him out of jail.

It all came to pass, but the cupbearer didn’t keep his promise to Joseph.
